Abel tried his best not to show outside how much he was disturbed by that little performance Cain threw yesterday in their room. Still a little high on antibiotics that circulated in his system, Abel didn't understood at first what he was seeing, but he got enlightened quite soon, his mind kicking in with obvious conclusion, at the sight of flushed and half-dressed Deimos and Cain, licking the other's collarbone. He would need a lot of time to forget Cain's smug face, his lips swelled a little, and that nasty, hoarse words 'get out'.

Abel leaned on the railing of the hangar gallery, looking down at the Reliant. He didn't feel like meeting Cain now, but considering that both of them had been called to do some usual pre-flying system check-ups together, he would have to. It's not that he didn't know about other people Cain was sleeping with. Well, at least had sex with, as it was hard to call it 'sleeping' at all. But the point was, as long as he hadn't seen them, it didn't bother him. Now did. A lot.

Sighing heavily again, Abel directed his steps to the stairs, just to go down into the ship. The sooner he was done with his part of the check-up, the sooner he could  scram to the seemingly safe zone of their room. Not that it was unusual again, but since his moment with Deimos, Cain didn't come back to the dormitory at all. Abel didn't know what the other was up to, but considering Cain's character, it wasn't anything good. Abel didn't want to have anything to do with whatever it was.

It didn't take a lot of time to notice that someone other than him had been using the Reliant. Abel found all the coordinates changed and put differently, to match someone lighter and skinnier. And with longer legs.

Abel gritted his teeth and went back to checking the parameters of the ship. He wasn't going to think about Alter and Cain, together, as he was not going to think about ANYONE with Cain. Just no. He had much important things to do than to wonder who Cain was sexing up this time.

"I didn't expect you so soon here."

Abel twitched when he heard the voice coming from above. His head snapped up nervously, only to notice a pair of amethystine, dark eyes watching his every move on controls from behind the ship's side.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, not even trying to sound polite. The woman smiled warmly, but that smile didn't reach her eyes that were still observing him, narrowed but even so, alert.

"I wanted to put all changes back. Sorry I didn't manage that earlier." She jumped inside the cabin, skilfully manoeuvring her slim body into narrow empty space. Bending down over Abel to reach the controls, she let her hair fall from her shoulder, so that the man could smell a fresh fragrance of her shampoo.

"I can do that myself, no need for you to come here." Abel said, leaning back in the seat when she ignored him and continued to tap the numbers into computer. Even quicker than Abel, she finished the sequence and bowed further down, to reach his ear.

"Actually, I wanted to talk with you, Abel."

"Really. About what?" Abel quirked an eyebrow at her, but decided to be polite, at least for now. It wasn't her fault that he felt like shite now, well, okay, maybe it partially was, but he shouldn't lower himself to such a level and behave like a spoiled child.  Sighing, to let go of confused emotions still swirled in him, he looked to his right, where Alter was standing. She was smiling.

"About Cain, for example?"

"What about me, chick?" another voice came from above them and looking up simultaneously, they saw Cain grinning at them mockingly. Alter scowled.

"Nothing, Cain. Just nothing."

Abel blinked, amazed. He remembered quite well how self-confident she was, behaving around Cain with relaxed elegance, but right now, Alter only eyed the man for a second and was already out of the Reliant. Cain snorted annoyed and turned to say something to Abel, but he was also already out, going down the ship ladder.

Abel had to run to get to Alter before she went out of the hanger, so quickly she walked. Ignoring Cain that followed them with raised eyebrows from amazement, Abel grabbed woman's arm.

"We haven't finished talking yet." He said, well aware that even despite the distance, Cain was able to hear him. But, everything, even Alter was better now than having to sit with Cain in one, cramped space.

Alter looked at him, unbelieving, before her face was lit with understanding smile. She looked over her shoulder at the fighter, before she took Abel's hand from her own shoulder.

"Yes. We haven't."

Cain exhaled a cloud of smoke and waited for a tingling sensation of having the nicotine in his veins. It was a tiring day and some activities still waited to be fulfilled. Sitting on the Fighters' Base Level and smoking was a moment of relax that he stole by forcing some assholes to take his reports to the office for him.

He crashed the butt of the cigarette on the floor and stood up in one swift movement. Still being under the spell of Alter's talking, Cain smirked to himself, already anticipating all that fighting and running around that awaited them in the near future. Adrenaline rushed through his veins, warming his body and forcing mind to work faster. Alter said that the turning point should occur in one-two days, so he had a lot of time. Looking around at his fellow fighters, he suddenly felt an urge to touch something soft, silky and fair as Abel's hair. He remembered his navigator walking away with that woman, looking as if he was freaked out by something. Or not really, but Cain was already used to Abel making weird faces, when he thought he was so secretive and smart. Foolish little princess.

Already waiting for another person's body to heat his fingers, Cain walked in long, quick strides to the exit and further, to the lift. He loved how Abel was giving him his marked look of 'I-want-it-but-can't-let-you-see-I-do' and the eventual continuation, full of gasps and hoarse moans 'oh Cain, harder!'. He felt himself getting more impatient with every second passing, Cain closed his eyes and smiled predatorily, wondering where he would find his blond bitch. Alter should have already let him go from her claws, so the most probable place was their room. Cain clenched his fist and then straightened his fingers, feeling all his energy and stamina was back, even despite the VR training he was doing non-stop for the past ten hours. Little princess had no chances of escaping and Cain liked it this way.

It was going to be a fun evening.
